Real oud, as I believe it should be.

In my childhood, the scent of oud filled the majlis during Eid and special occasions with a character that felt distinctly different—purer, deeper and more authentic. It was more than a beautiful aroma; it was tied to hospitality, generosity and family gatherings, lingering in the room and in memory long after the occasion had ended.

As the years passed, I began to feel that the oud we knew in earlier days was of a finer quality and greater purity than much of what we encounter today. Many modern oud fragrances have also drifted away from the true character of the wood, relying instead on accords that imitate its scent without carrying its soul or depth.

This is where my journey with Law of Oud began. I did not want to create a fragrance merely inspired by oud; I wanted to revive the oud of my memories—natural, pure and profound, carrying the elegance of the majlis and the warmth of special gatherings, composed with the balance such a precious material deserves.

I used generous quantities of natural oud, balanced with precious materials that complement its presence without overwhelming it.

• Base: Musk, ambergris, Mysore sandalwood, vanilla and a further touch of oud
