Battle of Ouds

Three ouds. Balance decides.

What draws me to oud is its individuality. Each oil offers a different character to explore, and bringing those characters together is a challenge worth taking time over.

For Battle of Ouds, I brought together Khao Yai, Kalimantan, and Trat oud oils in a composition bearing Mauzoun’s signature.

The craft lies in their proportions: how much space to give each oud, and how to turn their differences into a compelling whole. This is the work that holds my attention in the lab—selecting, blending, and finding the balance that gives the composition its own identity.

That is the idea behind Battle of Ouds. A meeting of distinct characters, with balance as the deciding force.

I created this blend for those who find pleasure in the details of oud and take their time discovering them. An experience that begins with a touch and invites you to return.
